“There is division within members of the executive as they have found the allegations against the coaches baseless, said a source close to the club executive.
Some are arguing that the coaches should be suspended for the rest of the season or even fired while others want the suspension to be lifted. This is why up to now they have not taken any decision,” added the source, who spoke on condition he was not named.
But club secretary David Makombe insisted there were no divisions in the executive over Dhlakama and Munemos fate and also said management was yet to complete investigations on the twos conduct.
The Monoz executive suspended Dhlakama and Munemo and began investigating the two men after suspecting them of colluding to throw away the clubs African Champions League match against Eitoile Du Sahel of Tunisia in Sousse last month.
Monoz lost the crucial match by two goals to nil to crash out of the lucrative continental tournament.
Suspicions were immediately cast on Dhlakama and Munemo after the head of Monozs delegation to Tunisia said in his report that there was something amiss about the conduct of the technical team in Souse.
However, the club has said it had not sacked Dhlakama and Munemo but had simply suspended the two men pending outcome of investigations on the team’s elimination from the African Champions League.
Monoz also put several senior players on suspension following a dispute over pay.
