The Warriors striker broke the leg of Golden Arrows Philani Shange during a league match at Chartsworth Stadium.
Mushangazhike, who turns out for relegation-haunted PSL rookies Mpumalanga Black Aces, was immediately sent-off by referee Victor Hlungwani for that 5th minute offence, setting the fastest record for a red card in the history of the PSL.
However, the PSL said this week that the Zimbabweans two-match suspension could be extended further if he is found guilty of unsporting behaviour by PSL prosecutor Zola Majavu.
That brutal lunge was one of the worst ever this season and we cannot be seen doing nothing about it, a PSL official told ***The Zimbabwean early this week.
Majavu is preparing his facts and will summon the player to a disciplinary hearing anytime soon. What makes the offence even more serious is that Shange will not see any more league action this season, so we have to act to avoid any more of such incidences.
Any longer time on the sidelines for Mushangazhike will come as a big blow to his clubs quest for PSL survival, as they rely on the Warriors hitman to take them out of the relegation mire.
Amazayoni currently occupy second-from-bottom spot in the standings, just four points ahead of Jomo Cosmos, who anchor the 16-team log.
