According to Delta Corporation general manager for corporate affairs, George Mutendadzamera, installation was at an advanced stage at its Graniteside industrial area plant in Harare. He said the new new polyethylene terephthatlate line, known as PET, is set to improve the capacity to meet the rising customer demand for its products.
“It will increase our soft drink capacity by 400 000 hectolitres per hour, which is about 300 percent more than the plant we are decommissioning,” he said. The new development comes hard in the heels of yet another investment by Delta Corporation which, through its beverages division, commissioned a new US$12 million bottling plant at its Southerton brewery late last year.
