Maroto impresses coach

norman_maroto2HARARE - Gunners head coach, Darlington Dodo, has been impressed by the performance of his striker Norman Maroto in the premier soccer league. (Pictured: Norman Maroto is in top form this season.)

Norman is a hard worker; he always makes sure in every training session that he gets right what he used to do wrong. He has a very good eye for goal, he places himself in the right position every time and that is why he is always scoring, said Dodo.

He is someone with great leadership qualities as well, he motivates other players and at the end of the day they make sure that when he is in the team and in the right position they supply him with balls for a score.

Maroto, the leading goal scorer, helped his team secure a victory against Shabanie Mine last Sunday, banging his 12th goal of Gunners 21 this season. He has been reliable and has made a big contribution to the teams success in winning the league Championship title.

The former Dynamos striker faced stiff challenge from the former Caps United striker, Nyasha Mushekwi and the former Dynamos gunman, Cuthbert Malajila, in the competition for the top goal scorer award.

Mushekwi and Malajila are both playing for foreign clubs in South Africa and Tunisia, respectively.
