Malajilas manager Gibson Mahachi said last Thursday that the striker was not certain of his future and that there was possibility he could return to Zimbabwe following unrest in Lybia. “I don’t know what he will decide because at the moment he is still stuck up there in Lybia,” said Mahachi.
However, a Dynamos official who asked for anonymity said the player was considering coming back to rejoin Dynamos as he now feels he is not safe in Lybia, where that countrys leader Muammar Gaddafi is waging war against his people in a bid to stay in power.
“One of our guys has spoken to him and he is keen to come back and rejoin Dynamos if things continue like this. He said he was no longer feeling safe. At the moment they are off season and he (Malajila) was about to come here when the violence broke out,” said the official.
Mwalajila is on a six-month loan deal with the Lybian club from Tunisian side Club Africain. Thousands of foreigners have been pouring out of Libya to try and escape the political violence. The hard running former Dynamos striker was instrumental in Dynamos’s challenge for the domestic league title in 2009 in which Dynamos were beaten to the finishing line by Gunners who were then under the guidance of Moses Chunga.
He was also part of the squad that lost the title for the second year running to Motor Action but left in the middle of the season to join Tunisian outfit Club Africain who later loaned him to Lybia.
