The Movement For Democratic Change appreciates the good work being done by villagers and members of the Fallen Heroes Trust of exhuming victims of the liberation war from mass graves, but is calling on the government and all those involved to decentralise the the process.It is unfortunate to note that the exhumation process is not transparently done and is being carried out on a partisan basis.
As the MDC we are calling for the decentralisation of the exhumation process so that all those who who were brutally murdered during and after the war can be accorded a descent burial.
The MDC wishes to remind Zanu PF that thousands of innocent civilians were brutally murdered by the Zimbabwe National Army in an operation code named Gukurahundi in Matebeleland and Midlands provinces.
We are demanding the immediate exhumation and descent burial for thousands of those Gukurahundi victims who were murdered in cold blood by the North Korean trained fifth brigade.
The MDC views the much publicised exhumation of war victims by Zanu pf in Mount Darwin as cheap politicking mearnt to drum up political support ahead of elections.
The MDC would like to draw Zanu pf attention to mass graves in Bhalagwe,Lupane,Entumbane,Tsholotsho,Connemara and other places in Matebeleland and Midlands province.
