Mnangagwa aide seeks removal from remand

Businessman and President Emmerson Mnangagwa top aide, Energy Mutodi,said he was soon  approaching  the magistrates’ courts seeking to be removed from remand in a case in which he  facing charges of communicating false statements after allegedly implicating Sydney Sekeramayi and David Parirenyatwa in the poisoning of President  Mnangagwa.

Mtodi’s case is before Harare magistrate Elisha Singano who has postponed the matter to January 29, 2018, saying he would consider Mutodi’s request on the next remand date.

Mutodi also faces another charge of insulting former President Robert Mugabe and causing disaffection among members of the Zimbabwe Defence Forces.
