PRETORIA – A number of civil society organisations will meet to discuss the current crisis in Zimbabwe.

The meeting follows a week of violent protests after the government drastically increased fuel prices.

Hundreds of people were arrested and at least 12 people were killed.

It’s being reported that Zimbabwean President Emmerson Mnangagwa arrived back in the country on Monday night.

For the past week, Mnangagwa has been on a five-nation tour abroad.

He was expected to attend the World Economic Forum in Davos but cut short his tour to deal with the country’s economic crisis.
