Zimbabwe wages war against HIV/AIDS

Thousands in Zimbabwe still face hurdles, including long distances and limited access to free treatment and services.

JOHANNESBURG – Zimbabwe’s making big strides in its fight againstĀ HIV and Aids.

Over a million Zimbabweans are now on antiretroviral treatment and theĀ HIV prevalence has almost halved from 30 to 15 percent.

But thousands still face hurdles, including long distances and limited access to free treatment and services.
